Raphael was one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. His personality was rather sullen or sulky, and his mask was red (his favorite color). Raphael carried two sai. His name was inspired by Raffaello Santi, the famous Renaissance artist. He is believed to have a tie with Leonardo. He seems to be closer to Leonardo than to Michaelangelo and Donatello. In the 1987 cartoon show, Raphael was voice-acted by Rob Paulsen in all seasons except the final 1997 season. In the final season of the 1987 show, he was voice-acted by Michael Gough. In the 2003 cartoon show, he was voice-acted by Frank Frankson. He is called Raffaello in the Japanese adaptations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
