The Beatles 1 (or just 1) is a collection of all the number-one hits achieved by The Beatles in the 1960s and 1970. Compiled by producer George Martin and the three surviving members of the group, The Beatles 1 includes 27 songs that went to number-one in the United Kingdom and the United States.

The collection, released on November 14 2000, sold 3.6 million units in its first week and more than 12 million in three weeks, becoming the fastest selling album of all time and the biggest selling of 2000. The collection also premiered at #1 in the U.S. and other countries, an amazing achievement considering the band hadn't all four played together since 1970.
