The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (also known as “Southwestern”) is one of the leading medical research facilities in the United States. Originally named as “Southwestern Medical College”, it was established in 1943 as a wartime medical school and is part of the University of Texas System. Four Nobel laureates are tenured at Southwestern [1].
It has a medical school, a graduate school of biomedical sciences, and an allied health sciences school.
