Télé-Université, sometimes abbreviated to Téluq, is the first French language distance education university in the world and the only one in North America. With approximately 40 professors, Téluq has a number of programs, including diplomas in computer science, education, and management. It is currently being merged with the Université du Québec à Montréal, a process which should be complete by 2005.
Télé-Université is a partner with the Canadian Virtual University.
