Spümcø International is a U.S. cartoon animation studio based in North Hollywood, California. It was founded in 1991 by Canadian animator John Kricfalusi and partner Jim Smith. The Ren and Stimpy cartoons claim that Spümcø (or spum) is the Danish word for quality, but no such word exists. The Danish word for quality is actually kvalitet.
