Ray Dolby (born
January 18,
1933) is the inventor of the sound reduction system known as
Dolby Sound. He is the founder and chairman of
Dolby Laboratories.
Ray Dolby was also a Marshall Scholar.
Dolby was inducted into the National Inventors' Hall of Fame in 2004.
