Pazhassi Raja

Veera Pazhassi Raja the Lion of Kerala was the king of Kottayam, Kerala, India in late 17th century. He stopped the collection of revenues in Kottayam following an unpopular revenue policy by British. He achieved the title Veera (brave) when he organized a freedom fight against British rule in guerilla warfare model.
