Multivitamin

Multivitamin tablets are marketed as safe-to-consume dietary supplements, containing a range of vitamins, minerals and herbal extracts which will give us a better dietary balance, and have few side effects. They are typically made from natural sources.

Because of their categorisation as a natural medicine by the US Dept. of Trade and Agriculture, they do not have to undergo the same rigorous testing routines typical of pharmaceutical drugs. However, many natural herb extracts can have potent effects, and interact in unexpected ways with prescription and over-the-counter medicine.

While they can be a valuable tool to correct a dietary imbalance, it is also true that it is worth exercising a little basic caution when choosing a multivitamin tablet, especially if you have a pre-existing condition.

Vitamins are dietary components which are required by the human body, usually in small amounts. Multivitamins usually contain minerals and herbal_extracts also.
