Linda Park

Linda Park (born July 9, 1978, South Korea) is an Asian-American actress who is best known for her portrayal of communications officer character Hoshi Sato in the television series Star Trek: Enterprise.

Linda Park was born in Korea and raised in San Jose, California. She participated in a number of theatrical productions in her teens at Notre Dame High School and Bellarmine College Preparatory, leading her ultimately to seek and earn a B.F.A. from Boston College. During her college career, she spent a semester in England, studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. [1] Among her college stage credits are Mad Forest , Lysistrata, Cyrano , Richard III and The Trojan Women.

Less than a year after graduation, she was cast in the role of Hoshi Sato in the fifth incarnation of the Star Trek franchise, Star Trek: Enterprise. Hoshi is the ship's communications officer and has a natural gift for translating alien languages. Park herself is fluent in three languages, English, Spanish, and Korean.

Park is still an active student of dance. Remarking that "dancing has always been my second love," she still studies ballet, among other dance forms. [2]. Park is also a bronze-level international Latin ballroom dancer.

She currently lives in Los Angeles, California, where she is the co-founder of the threate company Underground Asylum . In October 2003, Park starred in UA's world premiere of the Mary Fengar Gail’s play Fuschia. She also produced and starred in her first short film, My Prince, My Angel, in August of 2003.

She is dating fellow actor Tom Hardy .
