Lester B. Pearson Award

The Lester B. Pearson Award is awarded annually to the National Hockey League's outstanding player in the regular season, as judged by members of the NHL Players Association (NHLPA).

The award is named in honour of Lester B. Pearson, Prime Minister of Canada from 1963 to 1968 and winner of the 1957 Nobel Peace Prize and is the only NHL award named after a politician.

Wayne Gretzky won the award a record 5 times, from 1982-1987.
