L96

The L96 is a precision rifle or sniper rifle produced by the British firm Accuracy International .


It was designed by Olympic shootist Malcolm Cooper and was adopted in British Service in the early 1980s as a replacement for the ageing Lee-Enfield-derived L42 . It has since been adopted by a number of countries and derivatives are is available in different calibres including the notably intense .338 Lapua Magnum.
