Kevin Gilbert

Kevin Gilbert (November 20, 1966 - May 17, 1996) was an American musician, born in Sacramento, California. He died from autoerotic asphyxiation at the age of 29.

He was an accomplished instrumentalist and Composer, who played keyboards, guitars, drums and cellos, as well as singing vocals. His talents also extended to producer. He worked on the projects of several established pop musicians, including Madonna, Michael Jackson and one-time girlfriend Sheryl Crow. He released albums of his own, including Thud (1995) and the post-humously released concept album The Shaming of the True (2000), as well as working on several movie soundtracks.
