Havelock North is a town in New Zealand in Hawke's Bay. It was a borough for many years until the 1989 reorganisation of local government saw it merged into the new Hastings District .

The town is known for its orchards, vineyards, and educational facilities and the prominent nearby landmark Te Mata Peak.

Like a number of North Island towns, it has grown larger than its South Island namesake, Havelock. Climate and soil fertility contribute to such growth.
