Pope Paul VI meets Archbishop Fisher.

Geoffrey Francis Fisher, Baron Fisher of Lambeth (May 5, 1887September 15, 1972) was Archbishop of Canterbury from 1945 to 1961.

In this role, he carried out the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, and was the first to be seen doing so by television audiences in the oft-screened footage of the 1953 event.

He was also the first Archbishop of Canterbury since the Reformation to visit the Pope. It was quoted in Roald Dahl's biography, Boy, that he was Headmaster of Repton, where he went at the time. He later moved to Chester, England for work in the clergy, before appointed to his post as the 99th Archbishop of Canterbury.

He was created a life peer on retirement, as Baron Fisher of Lambeth, of Lambeth in the County of London.
