FONDI

A little town in Italy, midway between Rome and Naples. Before the construction of the motorway between the latter towns on the late fifties, Fondi had been an important settlement on the Roman Appian Road, joining Rome to Brindisi, port of departure and arrival on the Adriatic sea of ship connections between Rome and nearby Greece.
