Federica Pellegrini

Federica Pellegrini (born August 5, 1988 in Mirano , Venice) is an Italian swimmer.

She won the silver medal in the women's 200m freestyle at the 2004 Athens Olympics, making her the second Italian swimmer to reach the podium in women's Olympic competitions, 32 years after Novella Calligaris. During semifinals she settled the national record with the overall best time of the event — (1:58.02). She also competed for 100m freestyle but did not qualify.
