Farhang Mehr

Dr. Farhang Mehr served as Iran's governor in OPEC, Chancellor of Pahlavi University in Shiraz, and revolutionized Iran's oil and insurance industries. The former Deputy Prime Minister of Iran and the only Zoroastrian to achieve such a high political rank in that country, Dr. Mehr was forced to flee to the United States during the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

Now professor emeritus of International Relations at Boston University, Dr. Mehr lives with his family in Massachusetts. He continues to serve and support Zoroastrian community worldwide. His biography, "Triumph Over Discrimination," was written in 2000 by Lylah M. Alphonse.
