Esquiline Hill
The Esquiline Hill is one of the famous seven hills of Rome. It is the highest of them and consists of four individual summits: the Aurelian, the Oppian, the Fagutalis and the Cispius (site of the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore). The seven hills are located close to the Colosseum and in ancient Rome were a fashionable residential district. Nowadays it is a popular touristical site and houses many budget hotels.
