Esera Tavai Tuaolo[1] (born July 11 1968 in Honolulu Hawaii) played professional football in the United States for nine years including a trip to the Super Bowl.
He grew up poor and his family were banana farmers. His father died when he was 10.
His nickname was Mr. Aloha. In 2002 he came out as gay. He currently lives with his life partner and their two children and is working to get the NFL to have domestic partner benefits.
