Ellen Foley (born 1951, Saint Louis, Missouri) is an American singer and actress.
She has released several albums on her own, but is perhaps best known for her work collaborating with others on such hits as Meat Loaf's Paradise by the Dashboard Light and Joe Jackson's Body and Soul.
She featured in Pandora's Box, a group formed by Jim Steinman in 1989.
She has also worked extensively on Broadway. Her best known television acting role is most likely the role of public defender Billie Young on Night Court for two seasons, after which she was replaced by Markie Post.
