Echo Township is a township located in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 179.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 91.8 km² (35.4 mi²). 90.3 km² (34.9 mi²) of it is land and 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.61% water.

Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 179 people, 69 households, and 56 families residing in the township. The population density is 2.0/km² (5.1/mi²). There are 78 housing units at an average density of 0.9/km² (2.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 97.77% White, 0.00% African American, 1.68% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.56% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
