eMOTIVe is the 3rd album by the American rock band A Perfect Circle. It was released on November 1, 2004 (although in the United States on the following day). The album contains 10 political covers, and 2 original songs. It debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #2, behind the various artist compilation, Now 17. The art cover shows Los Angeles in an Armageddon-like state.

Tracklist

  1. Annihilation (Crucifix)
  2. Imagine (John Lennon)
  3. Peace Love and Understanding (Nick Lowe)
  4. What's Going On (Marvin Gaye)
  5. Passive
  6. Gimmie, Gimmie, Gimmie (Black Flag)
  7. People are People (Depeche Mode)
  8. Freedom of Choice (Devo)
  9. Let's Have a War (Fear)
  10. Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums
  11. When the Levee Breaks (Memphis Minnie)
  12. Fiddle and the Drum (Joni Mitchell)

Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums was originally perceived to be a remix of the song Pet from Thirteenth Step. Maynard James Keenan spoke about this song on aMOTION and insists that it is not a remix, but rather a second part of Pet.

The track "Passive" is actually a remake of a song created by Keenan, Trent Reznor, et al for the Tapeworm project which, sadly, never saw the light of day.
