Danny Wuerffel

Danny Wuerffel (born May 27, 1974 in Fort Walton, Florida ) is an American football player who won the 1996 Heisman Trophy while playing quarterback at the University of Florida under modern-day legendary coach Steve Spurrier. He is the son of a military chaplain who has ben renowned for his character off the field as well as on. His National Football League career has been less than satisfactory due in large measure to his lack of height (he is only slightly over six feet/1.85 meters) tall and his tendancy to throw the ball rather softly by professional standards.

Considered by many to be one of the greatest College Quarterbacks of all time, he failed in the National Football League, earning him the moniker "Danny Woeful".
