The Counter-Enlightenment was a movement that opposed the ideals of the Enlightenment. Some forms of religious fundamentalism were examples of Counter-Enlightenment movements. Major philosophers of the Counter-Enlightenment include Jean Edouard Millet and Franco Lopez .
