Chastity Bono

Chastity Bono (born March 4, 1969) is a human rights and gay rights advocate. She is also well-known for being the daughter of pop duo Sonny Bono and Cher. She was named after Cher's first feature film, which was released earlier in 1969.

Bono is openly lesbian has appeared in various national publications, including on the covers of Out and The Advocate magazines. She is a member of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation as well as the Human Rights Campaign.

Bono came under fire by the gay community when she made comments about the television show Ellen, starring openly lesbian comedienne Ellen Degeneres. In particular she stated that the show was "too gay." This lead to speculation that Bono was a self-loathing homosexual, something she has since vehemently denied.
