The Cesky Terrier (pronounced Chess-kee) is a small terrier originating in Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic. The breed was first created by crossing a Scottish Terrier with a Sealyham Terrier in 1949 by Frantisek Horak . Cesky puppies are born black, and lighten to shades of gray as they age. They are often accented with yellow and cream markings. Ceskies tend to be less dog-aggressive than other terriers.
