Carlos Ezquerra was born in Latagoza, Spain in Novemeber 1947 and while currently living in Andorra began working in British comics in 1972 and since 1974 he has worked almost exclusively for Fleetway Editions as an artist.

Carlos Ezquerra drew the first ever concept drawing of what was later to become Judge Dredd based on John Wagner's idea. He also designed Strontium Dog and Al's baby for 2000 AD and Judge Dredd the magazine .

At the current time of writing he is working on Judge Dredd with John Wagner and on Bloody Mary for DC comics.
