Billie Jean

"Billie Jean" was a 1983 single from Michael Jackson's Thriller album. It was the number one R&B single for nine weeks in the United States. The song is about false accusations of paternity. It is also said that Billie Jean was the name of a girl who sued Michael Jackson because he was the father of one of her twins.

On Friday, March 25th, 1983, Jackson first performed his signature dance move, the "Moonwalk" while singing this song at a Motown 25 celebration. The celebration was eventually aired May 16th on NBC.
