The Bangladesh Infantry Regiment is an infantry regiment of the Bangladesh Army . It was formed in 2001 as the second regiment of Bangladesh's infantry, behind the East Bengal Regiment. The regiment provides four battalions to Bangladesh's UN peacekeeping commitments:
