Alexander Siddig (21 November, 1965) is a Sudanese/English actor. Siddig is most famous for playing Dr Julian Bashir in the Star Trek television series Deep Space Nine.

Siddig was born in Sudan but spent most of his life in England. He acted under his original name Siddig El Fadil until he changed it during the production of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Siddig married fellow Star Trek actor Nana Visitor in 1997. They had a son in 1996. Siddig and Visitor divorced in 2001.

Siddig is the nephew of English actor Malcolm McDowell and of former Sudanese Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi.
