Sir Winston Joseph Field (1904 1969) founded the Rhodesian Front Party with Ian Smith. Winston Field was Rhodesian Prime Minister from 1962 until 1964. He proved inept in dealing with Rhodesia's complex problems involving independence for the British self governing colony. He was replaced in 1964 by Ian Smith.
