Ventolin (music)

Ventolin is the title of a track by Aphex Twin, often called one of the harshest or most abrasive songs ever recorded due to the screeching trebles and breaking beats. The track consists of a loud, brash high pitched ringing lasting for the duration of the song, with heavily distorted techno beats underneath. Its music video consists of a lady being trapped in an elevator with other images interspersed. Named after Ventolin, the asthma drug which induces in some cases a high pitched ringing in the ears for those who take it. The song first appeared on the album I Care Because You Do.
