Underneath the Colours is Australian rock group INXS's second album. It was released on Deluxe Records in 1981 in Australia only. It was produced by Richard Clapton . Two singles were released; "Stay Young" b/w "Lacavocal," and "Underneath the Colours" b/w "Prehistoria." It was with this album that Michael's songwriting started to mature and the band started to find a unique sound. Included were political songs and their very first ballad. It was with the release of this album that the band realized they were ready to take on the world.
