The Thirteenth Floor

The Thirteenth Floor is also the title of a strip in the Scream! and Eagle comics.

The Thirteenth Floor is a 1999 film released to theaters in Germany and the United States. It was directed by Josef Rusnak and rated R by the MPAA for language and violence. It is one hundred minutes long and stars Craig Bierko, Gretchen Mol, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Dennis Haysbert.

Plot

The story line is about an advanced virtual reality machine that lets people visit Los Angeles in A.D. 1937. In this virtual reality however, the people that live there are truly self aware. The movie's main character, Hannon Fuller, actually tries to free one of them before discovering that our world is also such a 'virtual' reality. The movie ends when the main character is freed and wakes up in the "actual" world of the year 2024.
