Streamer

A streamer is a variant on a parachute which uses a strip of material instead of a canopy. Some streamers have a pocket sewn in to catch air, making them more like oddly shaped parachutes. Streamers are used on small or light objects, such as model rockets, as substitutes for parachutes or to ensure the object falls in the proper attitude.

Streamers, often made of colorful, sometimes metallic fabric, are commonly used, attached to poles or wristband s, as an element of music choreography.

There's also a free peer-to-peer internet radio application called Streamer , which allows streaming audio to a theoretically unlimited number of listeners. [Streamerp2p http://streamerp2p.com ]

Streamer is also commonly used as a name for a tape drive used for storing data.

Streamer, in terms of fishing, is one of the four main categories of fly lures. In general it's tied on a bigger hook and is presented as though it was a small, floating fish.
