Soviet Russia is sometimes used as a somewhat sloppy synonym to the Soviet Union — although the term Soviet Russia sometimes refers to Bolshevist Russia from the October Revolution in 1917 to 1922. During this short period it also included parts of Ukraine. In 1922, following the declaration of several Soviet Socialist Republics, the predominantly Russian part of Bolshevist Russia was integrated into USSR under the name of RSFSR. Afterwards, Soviet Russia was short un-abbreviated name of RSFSR until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.
Soviet Russia was a newspaper in the Soviet Union.
Soviet Russia was also the name of a publishing house in the USSR.
"In Soviet Russia..." can also be an allusion to a type of joke.
