The Signal de Botrange is the highest point in Belgium, located in the Hautes Fagnes, at 694 m above sea level. A road crosses the summit, and a zebra crossing enables pedestrians to reach the café there, with its six-metre-high tower. Due to the flatness of the plateau, the camber of the paved surface of the road, and the thickness of the paint, the highest point is actually one of the white stripes on the zebra crossing nearest the middle of the road.
