Shrewsbury School

Shrewsbury School is a leading British public school, located in Shrewsbury in the county of Shropshire. It was listed by the Clarendon Report as one of the great schools of England. It is a boarding school for boys aged 13 ("Year 9") to 18 ("Year 13") with a current enrollment of about 720 students.

Ex-pupils are named 'Old Salopians', and famous Alumni include

Shrewsbury ("The Free School") was founded in 1552 by King Edward VI, and in 1571 was augmented by Queen Elizabeth I. Headmasters include Sir Thomas Ashton , Samuel Butler, Dr. Benjamin Hall Kennedy , CA Alington , and Sir Eric Anderson .
