Sciomancy

Sciomancy (also called sciamancy; from Greek skia, 'ghost', and manteia, 'fortune-telling') is a form of divination, involving the observation of or even communication with ghosts.

The French writer François Rabelais mentions sciomancy in his Gargantua and Pantagruel.
