Sarah Greene (born 24 October 1958, in London, England) is a British television presenter. She is probably most famous for presenting on the popular childrens television show, Blue Peter, from 19th May 1980 until 27th June 1983.
After leaving Blue Peter, she went on to present Saturday Superstore alongside Mike Read, she then co-presented Going Live! , alongside Phillip Schofield. During which time, she met and married presenter Mike Smith .
Disaster struck for her and Mike in 1988, when the helicopter, Mike was piloting, crashed, with Sarah on board. Both passengers survived, however.
As well as presenting Sarah has also done lots of acting work in programmes such as Doctor Who, Casualty and French and Saunders. In 1992, she combined both her talents, in a spoof paranormal programme called Ghostwatch, alongside her husband Mike Smith and Michael Parkinson. In it she looked as though she had been killed and subsequently worried many people, however she was only acting.
