Sango (also spelt Sangho) is the primary language spoken in the Central African Republic. It is an Ngbandi -based creole with many French words. Although many words are derived from French, the basic vocabulary is Ngbandi-based. It has 400,000 native speakers, but 5 million including second languages speakers.
