Angel Sandy Martínez (born October 8, 1970 in Villa Mella, Dominican Republic) is a Major League Baseball backup catcher who plays with the Detroit Tigers (since 2005). Previously, Martínez played for the Toronto Blue Jays (1995-97), Chicago Cubs (1998-99), Florida Marlins (2000), Montreal Expos (2001), Cleveland Indians (2004), and Boston Red Sox (2004). He bats left-handed and throws right-handed.
In a eight-season career, Martínez is a .230 hitter with six home runs and 51 RBI in 218 games.
