Sadowsky Guitars Limited (Professional Guitar Services) is a Brooklyn, New York based high-end guitar, bass guitar, and preamp manufacturer.

Roger Sadowsky founded the company in 1979, having 7 years of guitar luthier training. He worked alone for years but his worker base eventually expanded and continues to do so slowly. There are currently 8 employees involved in instrument manufacturing excluding Sadowsky and Dot, the chief of security and mascot.

Sadowsky started out modifying vintage (Fender) basses, which were at that time inexpensive, to improve their sound by adding more noise reduction technology and replacing the passive preamp with one with active electronics which increases the signal to noise ratio of the bass's signal. Once vintage basses skyrocketed in price Sadowsky started creating entire bass guitars.

Sadowsky Guitars Ltd. makes 4 and 5 string bass guitars and 6 string guitars. These bass guitars have a 34 inch scale length with no current models offered in longer or shorter scale lengths.

Sadowsky instruments are used by many musicians including Jason Newsted – former band member of Metallica and former touring bass player for Ozzy Osbourne – whom once placed a single order for seven Sadowsky bass guitars.
