São João Del Rey also spelled São João Del Rei is a historical city in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Population: 75,000 inhabitants.

São João Del Rei was set up in the 18th century and has a great number of constructions of that epoch, including more than 70 churchies. It was there where Tiradentes, the leader of the Inconfidencia Mineira , was born in 1746.
