Ridvan

The Festival of Ridvan, the 12-day period from April 21 to May 2, celebrates Bahá'u'lláh's public declaration, in 1863, of his mission as the prophet of the Bahá'í Faith. It is the most holy Baha'i festival, and is also referred to as the “Most Great Festival” and the “King of Festivals". The first, ninth and twelfth (last) days of the Ridvan period are Baha'i holy days on which work must be suspended.
