Rick Keene is a California assembly member from the state's third district (representing Chico, Marysville, Grass Valley). Keene was elected in 2002. From 1994 to 2001, Keene served on the Chico city council.
Keene has been the Republican whip and Vice Chair of the Committee on Water, Parks and Wildlife. He currently is th Senior Republican on Budget and is on the Assembly Appropriations Committee.He's a member of the Natural Resources Committee. Keene also serves as the principal consultant to the Republican Leader, Kevin McCarthy.
Keene was born in Hayfork, California in Trinity County. He's married to his wife Janis, and has five childrem.
