The Republika Srpska is composed of 63 municipalities. These are grouped into seven regions:

1. Banja Luka
2. Doboj
3. Bijeljina
4. Vlasenica
5. Sarajevo-Romanija or Sokolac
6. Foča
7. Trebinje

The ethnically diverse Brčko District is a division of its own under the direct jurisdiction of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
