Ray Fosse

Raymond Earl Fosse (born April 4, 1947) is an American former Major League Baseball catcher who played primarily for the Cleveland Indians and Oakland Athletics in the 1970s. Fosse is remembered primarily for a play in the 1970 All-Star Game which resulted in a drastic career downturn, when Pete Rose barreled into him at home plate, causing severe injury to his shoulder.

Fosse, who was born in Marion, Illinois, currently serves as both a radio and television broadcaster for the Athletics.
