Coefficient of determination

(Redirected from R-squared)

In statistics, the coefficient of determination R2 is the proportion of a sample variance of a response variable that is "explained" by the predictor variables when a linear regression is done. In case there is just one scalar-valued predictor variable, R2 is the square of the correlation between the predictor and response variables.
