A prospector is a person who prospects, or explores an area for natural resources such as minerals, oil, flora or fauna.

The Prospector is either of two named passenger trains:

• one operated by Transwa between Perth, Western Australia and Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, and
• the other operated by the Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad.
